Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:



  • Implement financial and accounting policies, procedures, and strategies across all Strategic Business Units (SBU).

  • Maintain General Ledgers and manage all intercompany financial transactions, including accruals and adjustments

  • Maintain monthly “chart of accounts” to reflect account management activities

  • Review and report all financial accounts/reports/reconciliation, in adherence with the financial reporting cycle

  • Monitor revenue allocation for accuracy

  • Identify and implement steps to improve profitability and achieve cost reduction

  • Supervise documentation of all financial transactions and data across all SBUs

  • Manage external stakeholder relationships such as auditors, financial institutions, regulatory agencies

  • Prepare financial analysis and reports for collation

  • Supervise cash receipts and payments across all locations

  • Oversee the preparation of the Company’s trial balance and financial reports (accounts receivables report, balance sheet, profit and loss accounts, payroll accounts) and manage the consolidation of financial information

  • Implement control systems and processes across all SBUs to secure the assets of the organization

  • Provide coaching and technical support to team members


Tax:



  • Develop and drive the implementation of tax strategies, policies, and procedures

  • Lead the tax planning process and audits and implement steps to minimize tax liabilities & exposure

  • Provide internal tax advisory services to all SBUs to achieve tax efficiency

  • Oversee the preparation of all applicable tax computations such as CIT, WHT, VAT, etc.

  • Implement measures to achieve timely processing and remittance of tax payments and reconciliation of all tax accounts

  • Keep abreast of current industry tax practices and regulation, provide advisory to management on tax and regulatory requirements

  • Tax record management and maintenance of reporting process

  • Collection of all Company and/or employees tax receipts and clearance certificates

  • Carry out regular in-house tax reviews and oversee preparation of tax self-assessments

  • Follow-up and resolve tax queries from the tax regulatory authorities

  • Monitor the performance of retained tax consultants on tax issues and reports.


Required Qualification



  • B.Sc in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • 8-12 years’ experience

  • Professional certifications such as CFA, ACA, or ACCA is mandatory

  • Experience working in a Group structure

  • Sound understanding of accounting principles in a group structure

  • Good understanding of and experience with transfer pricing and tax rules

  • Sound ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections

  • Strong analytical skills

  • High level of competence using Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to work under pressure, with little supervision

  • Excellent verbal and writing and presentation skills.
