RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Responsible for day-to-day activities of finance team within her department and provide direction to employees according to policies & procedures.

  • Responsible for preparation of revenue projections and forecasting expenditure and ensure adequate cash flow for continuing operations.

  • Ensure timely settlement of Merchant accounts in line with bitMARTe SLAs.

  • Ensure timely settlement of 3PLs and all other service providers accounts in line with bitMARTe SLAs.

  • Prepare financial analysis and reports weekly reports and advise management on weekly business trends along with recommendations for improvement.

  • Participate in the month end close activities including the preparation and review of journal entries and review of budget-to-actual reports.

  • Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheets account and ensure that general ledger accounts are reconciled.

  • Prepare and present monthly financial performance, recommendations, and advice to the management

  • Provide support to the Finance Manager in the forecasting, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting of the operating and capital budgets and financials.

  • Generate financial ratios between current and prior year values in the Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income and Statement of Cash Flow Statements

  • Develop cash flow projections for funded and support activities.

  • Participate in annual audit preparations.

  • Support junior staff as required and perform other accounting duties as assigned

  • Supervise inventory audit at the Hubs

  • Responsible for recommending and implementing system improvements including accounting process design.

  • Supervise preparation of merchant payments daily

  • Supervise preparation of 3PL and vendor payments monthly

  • Ensure that Merchant Account records are maintained and up to date

  • Responsible for approving placement and release of payment holds

  • Responsible for approving refunds and chargebacks due to buyers

  • Overseeing preparation of Daily, Weekly and Monthly financial reports

  • Reviewing remittances to statutory bodies

  • Responsible for Financial resolutions with merchants/buyers

  • Support to Merchants for Financial Solution product


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ working experience as an Accounting or finance function

  • A First Degree in Accounting, and/or Finance or (certification in corporate Finance)

  • A Postgraduate or master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage

  • Held a supervisory positions for at least 2 years and lead teams successfully.

  • Membership of ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or CFA is required
