Job Summary:


The Finance Officer plays a crucial role in the finance department by providing support in financial management and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and records. This position requires strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.

  • Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, expense claims, and payroll.

  • Review and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including regular bank reconciliations.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and other financial compliance requirements.

  • Support in the preparation for audits and coordinate audit activities as required.

  • Assist in financial analysis, including variance analysis and financial forecasting.

  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support in decision-making processes.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial systems.

  • Stay updated on financial regulations, laws, and best practices to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.

  • Provide support in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned.

  • Respond to finance-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.


Qualifications and Skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CMA, CPA) is preferred.

  • Proven experience in finance or accounting roles.

  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and accounting practices.

  • Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
