Purpose of the Job

• Manage all aspects of Accounting & Financial Management/Reporting.


• Assist in Managing client relationships and ensure consistent growth in project income.


• Liaise with the external Auditors, Accountants, and Tax Authorities to ensure the timely completion of all statutory returns and Accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the Company's Accounting records are properly maintained.


• Deliver and maintain a cost-effective accounting and financial system that meets the current and future business requirements of the Company.


• Oversee the external audit, review and analyse results and recommend the Audited Financial Statements for approval.


• Manage the payroll function, ensuring efficient systems, processes, and controls the lead annual budget planning process and compliance by all Units.


• Establish and maintain adequate internal controls.


• Develop cash flow forecasting and maintain a long-term cash forecast.


• Manage ongoing banking relationships for maximum efficiency.


• Support the provision of accurate and timely project information and reports to existing clients.

Qualification

Minimum qualifications and preferred skills:

• HND/ BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics.


• Any relevant part (or full) Professional qualifications – ACA, CIMA, AAT, ICAN.


• A min of eight years of relevant experience in a similar Accounting role.


• Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and persuasion skills.


• Strong ability to work independently, multitask and manage time effectively.


• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.


• High standard of spoken and written English.


• Strong computer skills, including the use of email and key MS Office applications.


• Strong knowledge of financial accounting systems.


• An analytical mind with problem-solving skills.


• A team player with good leadership skills.
