About the job



  • The Finance Business Partner is responsible for running the accounting and financial activities of the CMB Business, keeping financial records up to date, handling billing, receivables/payables and providing insights on the financial performance of the Business.


Responsibilities



  • Ensure the day-to-day recording of the financial activities of the business.

  • Timely generation of Invoices and monitoring for prompt collection of receivables and processing of all payments

  • Ensure reconciliation of the bank statement, ledgers, and the core business application

  • Attend to audit engagements (External and Internal audits bothering on financial performance and regulatory payments)

  • Timely remittance of all regulatory payments – Withholding taxes, VAT etc.

  • Provide optimization techniques on revenue and cost optimization.

  • Monitor and review the day-to-day financial activities in advisory capacity to the business

  • Ensure that financial transactions are recorded in line with the applicable laws and regulations

  • Timely recording of financial transactions

  • Provide monthly, Quarterly, and annual reports on performance as required by the business

  • Liaise with the bank representatives to ensure prompt reconciliations of the bank statements

  • Prepare compliance reports in the format required by the regulators.

  • Cashflow management, forecasting and treasury operations.

  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and ensure that data is stored systematically to provide easy retrieval and accessibility when needed


Qualifications



  • B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree

  • Must have relevant professional qualification (ICAN/ACCA)

  • 4 years’ experience as an Accountant

  • Advanced MS Excel skills, ability to work with large financial data

  • Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures

  • Good knowledge of accounting software
