About the Job



  • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our finance team.

  • The ideal candidate will assist in various financial activities, including but not limited to, financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and reconciliation.

  • You will work closely with internal teams, clients and external partners to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities



  • Assist in preparing and analysing financial statements, reports, and budgets.

  • Perform variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconcilations of financial transactions, accounts and statements.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy of reporting.

  • Utilize advanced excel and financial software tools to analyse large datasets and identify trends

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify discrepancies between transaction records and resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models for forecasting and budgeting purposes.

  • Assist in the development and improvement of reconciliation processes, findings and resolutions.

  • Participate in financial audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to audit inquiries.

  • Contribute to the implementation and improvement of financial policies and procedures.

  • Assist in monitoring and analysing key financial metrics to provide insights for management decision-making.

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and presentations for senior management as needed.


Critical Competencies



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 2-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related role.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems).

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Solid understanding of financial principles, concepts, and practices.
