Job Description
The company is currently seeking to hire a Finance Officer with a basic understanding of financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience.
The ideal candidate for this role is expected to possess ACA/ICAN/ACA membership with an exam written. S/he should also have an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update internal systems with financial data
- Assist with filing, data entry, recording, and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents.
- Work with bookkeeping software.
- Compile and analyze data.
- Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about the Finance department and office operations.
- Participate in financial audits
- Review and implement financial policies
- Resolve financial disputes raised by the customer service and sales teams
- Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
- Supporting the Finance Manager and executives with projects and tasks when required
Requirements
- HND/BSC in Accounting from a reputable institution
- Pre/Post-NYSC experience in a finance role
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
- Aptitude for math.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
- Highly motivated and have a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible
