A Project Engineer is a professional who is responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects.
Plan, schedule, predict, and manage all the technical tasks of their assigned project to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish.
Responsibilities
To be in charge of the day to day running of the site in liaison with the Head of Engineering.
Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phase and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, reviewing bids from contractors.
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Scheduling Projects by studying project design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
Oversees all materials at the site, including documentation of materials coming to site and usage, quality and quantity of materials being received by the site is in the best of standards.
Prepare and sends daily site report (work progress, materials, personnel and equipment)
Involved in Evaluation and Valuation of completed work for the purpose of raising payment Certificate.
As may be directed, can represent the company in Project Meetings concerning the site of your posting.
Maintain company reputation by complying with Federal and State regulations.
Any other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
Must be a certified member of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)
Minimum of 15 years work experience
Proven working experience as a Project Engineer
Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
Advanced MS Office skills
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
