Job Description




  • We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support our finance department.

  • She/He will be responsible for the day-to-day finance administration and accounting transactions.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide timely and accurate analysis and business information for the company to meet the changing needs of the business.

  • Provide and manage financial analysis and monthly reporting.

  • Responsible for forecasting and budgeting process for the business.

  • Manage resources to ensure that accounts, reconciliations, budgets and forecasts accurately reflect the business and are delivered on time.

  • Ensure appropriate account processes and controls are in place.

  • Manage Cash Flow to ensure targets are met and the Credit Control function operates effectively.

  • Provides support on all fiscal reporting activities for the company.

  • Supports the finance department in the monitoring of available cash vis-a-vis daily payments to ensure adequate cash flow.

  • Liaises with relevant tax authorities, displaying a basic understanding of the tax requirements and compliance.

  • Provides support on the company's financial expenditure, including running costs, staff expenses, admin costs, VAT & CIT, levies, and taxation.

  • Generates invoices to Clients promptly and ensures timely payments of all operating invoices;

  • Provides administrative support on the company's finance IT system and Invoicing system;

  • Provides support on Gift Voucher generation and reporting;

  • Liaises with Banks and Clients on behalf of the company;

  • Responsible for Administrative tasks for the company


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Banking & Finance or related Degree

  • ICAN/ACCA/ACA/CPA Certification

  • MBA or MSc (Added Advantage)

  • 7+ years experience in Finance Management;

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role;

  • In-depth knowledge of the local tax systems, IFRS, GAAP;

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems for financial planning;

  • Excellent analytical skills;

  • Excellent writing and reporting skills;

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Hands-on and able to roll up sleeves;

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Detail oriented and self-organized;

  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality on business-related matters.

  • Experience in the Fintech Industry is an added advantage;

  • Financial Modelling skills are an added advantage
