Description 



  • Develop and implement the school's educational vision, mission, and strategic goals in alignment with educational standards and best practices.

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to a team of educators, staff, and administrators, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee the academic curriculum, assessment practices, and student progress monitoring to ensure high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of nursery and primary school students.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the school, including supervision of staff [academic & non-academic], budgeting, resource allocation, facilities management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, stakeholders, and community partners, promoting open communication, parent engagement, and a supportive school community.

  • Support the professional development and growth of staff through mentorship, training initiatives, and performance evaluations to enhance teaching quality and staff retention.

  • Implement effective student support services, behavioral management strategies, and pastoral care programs to promote the well-being and holistic development of students.

  • Lead initiatives for school improvement, innovation, and educational excellence, fostering a culture of academic rigor, creativity, and student achievement.

  • Collaborate with school board members, educational authorities, and external organizations to enhance the school's reputation, partnerships, and opportunities for growth and development.

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming school environment that upholds child protection policies, health and safety standards, and ethical practices in accordance with educational regulations.


Qualifications and Skills



  • A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in educational leadership, preferably in a nursery and primary school setting.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

  • Knowledge of curriculum development, pedagogical best practices, and child-centered learning approaches.

  • Understanding of early childhood education, child development principles, and effective teaching strategies.

  • Proven leadership capabilities, decision-making skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider school community.

  • Proficiency in educational technology, data-driven decision-making, and school management systems.


Professional Qualification:



  • Certified by the Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria [TRCN Certificate/License]


Additional Requirements:



  • Certification in Educational Leadership or School Administration (if available)

  • Experience with accreditation processes and educational quality assurance standards

  • Familiarity with child safeguarding regulations and child protection protocols

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational trends and research.
