These objectives will be achieved through effective:



  • Execution of the company’s business plan that outlines key initiatives associated with revenue growth, profitability, and expense control.

  • Driving the general business commercial teams in developing new market initiatives in life and general business.

  • Managing and implementing the company’s business plan, outlining key initiatives associated with revenue growth, profitability and expense control

  • Accountable for the management of appointed brokers/agents as well as appointing new intermediaries to drive new business production, major account retention, and large account prospecting and management for success.

  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and follow up with key decision-makers.

  • Grow, deepen, and sustain awareness of market behavior and competitive trends with adequate response.

  • Sustain and grow the company’s bouquet of services and lines of business with competitive pricing structures with brokers/agents within the area of jurisdiction.

  • Providing adequate marketing support for the branch managers within the region.

  • Mentoring, training, and growing potential commercial team members.

  • Reporting markets and benchmark performance of the company about its peers and proffering effective and workable solutions to address weaknesses and sustaining strengths within the insurance industry to the technical committee of the board of directors of the company and its management committee.

  • Coordinate liaison between sales and other departments and also associated companies and subsidiaries.


Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University (Business Related preferred).

  • Professional Qualification in Insurance (ACII or ACIIN).

  • MBA is an added advantage.

  • 10+ years’ work experience, especially in a Senior Management Role and Sales/Marketing/Relationship Management role.

  • Must have hands-on Sales and practical experience in relationship management in a corporate organization.

  • Strong experience in consumer-facing product management and design thinking.

  • Financial industry experience preferred but open if relevant to digital and non-digital sales goals.

  • Demonstrated actual practice in providing practical solutions to peoples problems.

  • A proven knowledge of all aspects of Life and General business and the ability to engage and build meaningful relationships.

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Knowledge and application of a wide range of marketing and sales techniques and concepts.

  • Strategic planning skills; Strong organizational skills, Strong motivation, leadership, and team management skills
