Salary:  N 100,000-120,000


Responsibilities


The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):



  • Prepare and analyze financial statements according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.

  • To monitor the use of purchased goods and materials. This helps to protect the company from incurring costs.

  • Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts based on historical data and industry trends.

  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Responsible for billing activities; getting cheaper rates on all materials required by the company.

  • Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

  • Risk Management: Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, including internal controls and procedures.

  • Oversee payroll functions, including processing payments, calculating deductions, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Prepare and file various tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Assist the logistic personnel in working together to fill orders and deliver materials on a timely basis.

  • Reconciling the actual use of a project and what was requested in the In-house BoQ.

  • Follow-up on all office expenses, inclusive of paying site engineers when due during and after any form of project.

  •  Make sure that all in-house BoQs sent are accurate from their respective projects before approval of payment.

  • Record all payments and track all expenses being made by the organization.

  •  Processing of PFI’s and Invoices for the organization at its due time.

  • Assist in accountable, timely, and cost-effective release of peacekeeping movement along with personnel.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Analyze variances and report discrepancies to management.

  • Coordinate and provide support for internal audits.

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy


Requirement



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.

  • Membership in a recognized professional body i.e., ICAN, ACCA will be an added advantage)

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
