Job Description

• We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cybersecurity Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, hands-on experience with relevant tools and technologies, and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lectures, labs, and workshops on various cybersecurity topics, including but not limited to:
  
  
  
  • Network security fundamentals
  
  
  • Cyber threat intelligence
  
  
  • Ethical hacking and penetration testing
  
  
  • Cryptography and encryption techniques
  
  
  • Security policies and compliance
  
  
  
  


• Create and update course materials, including slides, demos, and hands-on exercises, to ensure relevance and effectiveness.


• Provide guidance and support to students through office hours, online forums, and one-on-one interactions.


• Design and evaluate student assessments, such as exams, projects, and capture-the-flag competitions, to measure learning outcomes.


• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in cybersecurity, incorporating relevant updates into course content.


• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to continuously improve the curriculum and learning experience.


• Participate in outreach and recruitment activities to attract and retain students, including webinars, conferences, and networking events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).


• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on offensive or defensive security techniques.


• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as:
  
  
  
  • Intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
  
  
  • Security information and event management (SIEM) platforms
  
  
  • Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Nmap)
  
  
  • Encryption protocols and algorithms
  
  
  
  


• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC are highly desirable.


• Prior teaching or training experience, either in a classroom or corporate setting, is a plus.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.


• Enthusiasm for learning and teaching, with a genuine desire to mentor and empower students to succeed in their cybersecurity careers.
