Job Summary and Purpose



  • The primary objective of the Business Development Executive for the Oilfield Supply and Services Unit is to increase company revenue by identifying, developing, and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with local and international oil and gas companies operating in Nigeria. 


Academic Qualification



  • A second-class Honors degree from a reputable University.


Years of Experience



  • A minimum of five (5) years as working as a Business Development Professional in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry


Revenue Generation



  • Achieve Revenue target set by Management

  • Maintain a register of ongoing and upcoming projects in the Nigerian O&G Industry.

  • Maintain a database of contacts within client organizations.


Bid/Tenders and RFQs.



  • Facilitate the receipt of RFQs from clients.

  • Enhance the conversion of RFQs to Purchase Orders (POs)

  • Tracking bid progress - Provide regular updates on all bids submitted.

  • Gather business intelligence on industry trends.


Key Skills and Competencies



  • Engagement with financially viable clients with the appetite for high volume business

  • Provide regular updates on active and upcoming projects in the Nigeria O&G industry.

  • Attending industry events to keep abreast of industry trends and opportunities for business.

  • Client Relationship Management.

  • Proactively manage relationships with existing clients and develop relationships with new clients.

  • Timely submission of Business Development Activities Weekly Report.

  • Punctual attendance of weekly business development activities meetings.

  • Vendor Registrations/Licenses/Permits

  • Maintain current registrations, permits, and licenses with all governmental organizations, IOCs, NOCs, and marginal field

  • Regularly search for opportunities on client companies' e procurement portals.

  • Networking and Lead Generation

  • Timely submission of Customer Contact Report (Call memos).

  • Building new relationships with prospective clients, partners to increase the success of sales and marketing efforts.

  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skill

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads and converting prospects to clients.
