We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commercial and Billing Officer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and records of invoices, contracts, and other billing-related documents.
Responsibilities
Assist the Commercial and Billing team in managing, analyzing, and reporting billing and revenue data related to logistics operations.
Provide insights into the financial health of operations and identify trends and areas for improvement.
Maintain proper documentation and records of invoices, contracts, and other billing-related documents.
Organize and archive documents systematically for easy retrieval when needed.
Recognize inflows and post them into receivables accurately.
Ensure constant follow-up with clients via emails, calls, and visitation for outstanding payments.
Monitor client payment patterns, follow up on outstanding invoices, and resolve any billing disputes promptly.
Generate analytics based on inflow, receivables, and bad debts to support decision-making processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of second class upper honours from a reputable university.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Proven ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A minimum of two-three years post NYSC experience as a Junior Accountant
