Job Description

• We are seeking to hire for a Finance Lead to manage and improve our organization's financial performance as well as direct our accounting operations.


• Your exceptional proficiency will aid our organization in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's overall business objectives


• Manage all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and accounting functions


• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory filings


• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations


• Prepare financial analyses and reports. Provide management with financial analyses to identify line of activity with best/low contribution margin, ways of improvement in revenue generation and cost reduction for robust business position.


• Manage relationships with external partners, such as banks, auditors, tax authorities etc.


• Evaluate workflow processes and procedures to develop, recommend and implement procedural and system changes to increase accuracy and efficiencies


• Review/assess operational activities monthly in line with the approved budgets and highlight variation/lapses for management decisions. 


• Ensure compliance to applicable taxes such as Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), PAYE, Company Income Tax, and ensure timely remittance to the respective Tax Authorities.


• Collaborate with the audit partners to ensure proper compliance with all regulations


• Work on high-level financial reporting and analysis


• Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance and other related field. A Masters degree is a plus.


• Professional certification – CFA, ACCA, ICAN, etc is Compulsory


• At least 5 years plus proven experience in a senior financial management role. Experience in the logistics or e-commerce industry will be desirable.


• Advanced proficiency in accounting software, such as quick Books, SAGE etc.


• Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) and tax laws.


• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.


• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment


• Exceptional leadership and communication skills


• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
