Job Summary



  • Our client is looking for a proactive and analytical Finance Officer to join their dynamic team.

  • The Finance Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the company.

  • This individual will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support management decisions.

  • The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in finance and accounting, particularly within the software industry.


Key Responsibilities

Cash Management:



  • Liaise with the Finance Manager on day-to-day cash management activities.

  • Implement and maintain the company's finance policies in line with industry best practices.


Financial Reporting:



  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with accounting standards, managing the month-end and year-end closing processes.


Budgeting and Forecasting:



  • Prepare budgets and forecasts.

  • Analyze financial variances and provide actionable recommendations to management.


Tax Compliance:



  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with all relevant tax regulations.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and fulfill all audit requirements.


Financial Analysis:



  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and forecast future performance.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve the company's financial performance.


Internal Controls:



  • Implement and monitor strong internal controls to prevent fraud and errors.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and laws.


Financial Planning and Analysis:



  • Provide financial planning and analysis support to management.

  • Identify growth opportunities and recommend strategies to enhance financial performance.


Payroll and Compliance:



  • Assist in preparing staff payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory authorities.

  • Manage documentation and compliance for Insurance, Pension, and HMO.


Requirements

Education:



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

  • ICAN or ACA certification is an added advantage.


Experience:



  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in the software or IT industry.

  • Strong experience in Financial Reporting, Tax, and Auditing.


Skills:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as SAGE.

  • Excellent math, data entry, and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to multitask, work under minimal supervision, and attention to detail.


Additional Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of IT is an added advantage.
