Responsibilities



  • Plan and prepare well-structured, clearly presented lessonsto IGCSE and AS/A Level students based on a sound understanding of the learning needs and abilities of all students and the syllabus being taught

  • Make sure that the classroom is a stimulating environment that facilitates learning

  • Generate enthusiasm for the subject being taught and inspire all students to work to their potential

  • Workwith the head of department and learning supportunitwhere a student may have special educational needs

  • Promote high standards of behaviour by encouraging a positive, proactive approach to study andbuildingproductive relationships with students

  • Set homework according to policy and pertinent to the student’s ability and wider workload

  • Be punctual to lessons

  • Assess, record, and monitor the progress of all students according to faculty guidelines to provide accurate information to parents in a variety of forms, as and when necessary

  • Providehigh-quality, accurate, constructive,and targeted information to parents at Parents'Teachers Conference (PTC)

  • Maintain materials and resources as needed.


Requirements



  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies or Economics. (B.SC/B.ED). A Postgraduate degreequalification will be an advantage.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience inteaching IGCSE Business Studies.

  • Teaching experience with the Cambridge IGCSEGlobal Perspectivewill be an advantage.

  • Relevant certification orTeachinglicense is required.Especially IGCSE Certification and TRCN.

  • Asolid grounding in classroom management and school procedures.

  • Solid knowledge of subject matter including subject-specific curriculum and assessments.

  • Proficient in the use of technology and computer applications as required.

  • Passion for teaching and commitmentto educating the whole childand consideration of the well-being of children

  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
