Job Description

• We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to spearhead our business operations in Umuahia as the Head of Business and Commercial Growth.


• This senior-level role reports directly to the CEO and will be instrumental in building and scaling our business in this location.

Responsibilities

• Business Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, revenue generation, and profitability in Umuahia.


• Leadership: Lead and mentor a team to achieve business objectives, ensuring effective people management and development.


• Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, optimizing processes and resources to ensure efficient business performance.


• Market Expansion: Identify opportunities for market expansion and penetration in Umuahia and neighboring regions.


• Financial Management: Manage budgets and financial performance to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.


• Community Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the local community to enhance brand presence and impact.


• Sales and Marketing: Direct sales and marketing initiatives to promote our products and services effectively in the local market.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.


• Experience: Proven track record in a senior leadership role, ideally within the insurance or insurtech industry, with experience in building and scaling businesses.


• Skills: Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of technology, insurance products, and the circular economy. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
