Description

The Senior Network Security Engineer is responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of the Dangote’s network infrastructure, with a primary focus on Cisco and Fortinet firewall technologies. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions to protect against cyber threats. The engineer will monitor network traffic, identify vulnerabilities, and enforce security policies to safeguard critical systems. This position requires a deep understanding of network protocols, firewall configurations, and security best practices. The Senior Network Security Engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the secure deployment of applications and maintain compliance with industry standards.

• Design, implement, and maintain high speed network architecture
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis
• Develop and implement network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies
• Conduct threat analysis and mitigation activities
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security alignment
• Maintain accurate documentation of firewall configurations, security policies, and incident reports.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BE) in computer science, Information Technology, network engineering or any related field
• Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BE) in computer science, networking or any related field
• Fortinet NSE 4 certification or higher
  Cisco CCNP Security certification or higher,
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in network security, with a focus on high-speed networking and firewall configuration
• In-depth knowledge of Fortinet and Cisco Firewall technologies
• Experience working on Fortinet tools (FortiGate, Forti Manager, Forti Analyzer)
• Experience with network security protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network segmentation
• Strong understanding of threat analysis and mitigation techniques
• Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST)
• Cisco Firewalls (ASA, ASR, ISR)
  In-depth knowledge of VAPT
  Firewall configuration and troubleshooting
  Network segmentation and micro-segmentation
