Job Description



  • The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing items are used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in the hotel.


Job Responsibilities



  • Select the type and size of pipe and accessories required.

  • Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.

  • Install supports and hangers for pipes, fixtures, and equipment.

  • Assemble and install valves and fittings.

  • Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls/ underground storm sanitary and water piping systems / sinks, tubs and toilets/ water heaters and conditioners/ plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim.

  • Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures.

  • Ensure that all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.

  • Ensure that all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded.

  • Ensure that all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements (HSE). An HSE booklet will be given to you.

  • Attend to any other duties as may be assigned by management.


Other Responsibilities:



  • Health & Safety:

    • Ensure compliance of the hotel’s standards regarding proper equipment usage, health and safety and accident prevention policy of the Hotel.

    • Attends periodic meetings with Maintenance Manager and department heads, conducts and/or participates in safety meetings at designated intervals with hotel staff.

    • Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies of the company with regards to PPEs.

    • To clean and maintain all equipment and work areas after completion of work to prevent accidents.



  • Inventory:

    • Proper management of stock of supplies and equipment.

    • Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased.



  • Reports and Meetings:

    • Submits daily, weekly, (every Friday) and monthly.

    • Participates in weekly departmental meetings.




Requirements



  • Candidates should possess an OND in any relevant field with 5-10 years work experience.
