Job Summary:

• This is a full-time on-site role as a Fleet Officer at Quality Foods Africa located in Lagos.


• The Fleet Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating the overall operations and maintenance of fleet vehicles.


• The Fleet officer ensures that the fleet is running efficiently, vehicles are well-maintained, and drivers are following safety protocols.


• This role is crucial in supporting our delivery operations and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles and ensure all vehicles are in safe operating condition.


• Manage the acquisition of new vehicles, bikes, trucks, etc. for the fleet, including researching and negotiating contracts with suppliers and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


• Monitor fuel consumption.


• Supervising and training fleet drivers to ensure they comply with safety regulations.


• Provide regular reports on fleet performance, including vehicle utilization, maintenance costs, fuel consumption, and driver.


• Ensure fleet compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and licensing requirements, such as vehicle registration, insurance, and safety inspections.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as logistics or transportation management, is preferred.


• Strong analytical skills


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Experience in procurement and supply chain management.


• Knowledge of fleet management software.


• Experience in the food or logistics industry.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
