Job Summary 


The Creative Designer will play a pivotal role in the conceptualisation, design, and execution of footwear and apparel collections. This role demands a deep understanding of fashion trends, materials, and the technical aspects of footwear design. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the footwear industry and a passion for creating products that resonate with consumers while embodying the brand’s ethos.


Key Responsibilities:


Design & Development:



  •  Lead the creative process for designing footwear collections, from concept to final product.

  •  Collaborate with the design team to create sketches, prototypes, and final designs that align with the brand’s vision and market trends.

  •  Select appropriate materials, colors, and styles for each collection, ensuring a balance between aesthetics, functionality, and cost-efficiency.


Trend Analysis & Research



  •  Conduct thorough research on current and upcoming fashion trends, with a specific focus on footwear.

  •  Analyze market data to identify consumer preferences and emerging trends.

  •  Apply insights from research to design products that meet market demand and set new trends.


Collaboration & Communication



  •  Work closely with product development, marketing, and sales teams to ensure designs meet commercial objectives.

  •  Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the production quality and design integrity are maintained.

  •  Present design concepts and collections to internal stakeholders and external partners, articulating the design rationale and expected market impact.


Brand Development



  •  Ensure all designs align with the brand’s identity and contribute to its development and recognition in the market.

  •  Innovate and experiment with new design techniques and materials to keep the brand at the forefront of the industry.


Project Management



  •  Oversee the design process, managing timelines and resources to ensure timely delivery of collections.

  •  Monitor the development of prototypes and samples, providing feedback and making necessary adjustments.


Quality Control



  •  Ensure all designs meet the highest standards of quality, durability, and comfort.

  •  Address any design or production issues promptly, ensuring they do not compromise the final product.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in the footwear industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and commercially successful designs.

  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D modeling tools.

  • Strong understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.

  • Excellent sketching and prototyping skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret fashion trends and market data.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
