Job Responsibilities

Transport Goods:

• Safely drive trucks to deliver goods to customers, warehouses, or other destinations.

Loading & Unloading:

• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring that all items are properly secured.

Route Planning:

• Plan routes to ensure timely delivery, avoid traffic, and optimize fuel efficiency.

Inspect & Maintain Vehicle:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, checking for mechanical issues and reporting any problems. Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained.

Comply with Safety Standards:

• Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies regarding vehicle operation.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel use, and any incidents or delays. Complete all required paperwork such as delivery notes, shipping papers, and logbooks.

Communication:

• Stay in regular contact with dispatch to provide updates on delivery progress or report any issues.

Customer Service:

• Represent the company professionally during interactions with customers and clients, ensuring goods are delivered in a satisfactory condition.
