Responsibilities
- The inventory officer is responsible for preparing the purchase orders, receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out the supplies from the stock.
- He/she is also involved in preparing the inventories, maintaining the stock records, using computerized systems for entering the records and is accountable for checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders.
- Compare and evaluate offers from standardised suppliers against informal suppliers (Balogun, Idumota, etc)
- Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
- Documentations of all material received and issued to Pharmacy/Mini Mart
- Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
- Work with team members and Pharmacy manage to complete duties as needed.
- To stock the materials received from vendors properly as to ensure easy access identification, verification, handling, maintenance etc
- Provide extra support to pharmacy colleagues during busy periods or on own downtime.
- Maintain reasonable stock coverage levels in order to minimize out of stock situations
- Prepare weekly orders in collaboration with pharmacy manager and ensure high quality of all the products ordered, when they arrive.
- Liaise with staff colleagues on low-stock emergencies suppliers to order and follow up on delivery of supplies.
- Go to non-drug markets to pick products or come up with inventive ways to circumvent this process.
- Manage inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records
- Collaborate with pharmacy managers and other team members to drive the success of the business
- Support with company strategic initiatives.
- To be involved in reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system and oversee that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement. Similarly, he/she ensures that the stocks stay physically protected in the store
- To undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular weekly basis per section by working closely with the designated staff members
- Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business as well as reporting discrepancies in inventory
Processes purchasing orders on PC, create invoices, tracks orders and investigate problems.

SALARY of N80000 monthly NET (N80k)
Experience of working in a pharmacy or similar role in a pharmacy is desirable but not essential.
