About the Job:
- Hitech is currently looking for skilled and experienced Project Managers for its projects in Nigeria.
- Candidates should have a solid background in Civil Engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects, especially in the Roads & Bridges sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements, deadlines, and budgets.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, designers, and subcontractors, to achieve high-quality results and meet project goals.
- Create and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain communication with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring project compliance and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Identify and mitigate risks and challenges, implementing solutions to keep projects on track and within scope.
- Manage project finances, including budget allocation, spending, and forecasting, to optimize resource use and project profitability.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Regularly update senior management and stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Promote continuous improvement in project delivery processes, leveraging new technologies and methodologies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's/master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (master’s preferred).
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on infrastructure projects like roads, highways, and bridges.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices for infrastructure projects.
- Dedication to excellence, integrity, and professionalism in project execution.
