Job Summary
- The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Compile and analyze financial information to ensure accurate reporting.
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and investment portfolios.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budgetary performance and provide variance analysis.
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors as required.
Audit and Internal Controls:
- Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the firm’s compliance with financial regulations and other relevant accounting standards.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and adjust processes accordingly.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure alignment with overall financial strategy.
- Provide financial insights and advice to support business decisions.
Job Specification
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA as added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in the financial services industry, preferably within an investment firm.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and audit processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
