Responsibilities



  • Lead business development efforts in the aerial sector, identifying and cultivating new opportunities for defense manufacturing companies represented by our organization.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly ministries of defense and finance, to facilitate project approval and collaboration.

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and strategic partners in the defense sector.

  • Work closely with international defense manufacturers to understand their capabilities and tailor proposals for the Nigerian market.

  • Spearhead the project curating process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and obtaining necessary approvals from relevant ministries.

  • Serve as a liaison between our organization and government authorities, fostering positive relations and effectively communicating project objectives and benefits.

  • Drive the negotiation and finalization of contracts, ensuring all legal and financial considerations are thoroughly addressed.

  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation of comprehensive project proposals, including budgetary considerations and technical specifications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and adherence to established timelines.

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, policy changes, and geopolitical factors that may impact the defense sector, providing strategic insights to the executive team.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

  • 14 - 15 years experience.

  • Proven experience in business development and project management within the defense sector.

  • Strong network and understanding of the defense landscape in Nigeria.

  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and secure necessary approvals.

  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and ability to think critically.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

  • Willingness to travel as required.
