The Measurement Engineer will be responsible for developing, interpreting, and applying technical drawings and sketches to guide construction projects.
The role requires proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and other drawing software, as well as expertise in various measuring equipment, including levels, latitudes, longitudes, and total stations.
Responsibilities
Develop and interpret technical drawings, sketches, and blueprints to guide construction projects.
Ensure accurate measurements and alignment during the construction process using various measuring tools and equipment, including levels, latitudes, longitudes, and total stations.
Use CAD or similar software to create, modify, and update drawings and plans as required.
Collaborate with project engineers, surveyors, and construction teams to ensure that all measurements align with project specifications.
Conduct field measurements, ensuring precision and accuracy in leveling and other critical construction tasks.
Verify that construction activities are being carried out according to the approved designs and layouts.
Troubleshoot any discrepancies between the design and actual construction, providing solutions where necessary.
Maintain accurate records of measurements, adjustments, and modifications for future reference.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
2-10 years of experience as a Measurement Engineer, Surveyor, or similar role in the construction, mining or engineering industry.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and sketches.
Proficiency in using CAD and other relevant design and drawing software.
Expertise in using various measurement tools and equipment, such as levels, latitudes, longitudes, and total station.
Good understanding of construction and engineering principles and practices.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and documentation.
