Job Summary
- The Lead/Acoustic Guitar Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality guitar instruction to students of all ages and skill levels.
- This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.
- The teacher will also lead group classes and workshops, and may participate in school performances and events.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction:
- Provide individual and group guitar lessons, focusing on both lead and acoustic guitar techniques.
- Teach various music styles, including classical, jazz, rock, pop, and folk.
Student Assessment:
- Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Prepare students for performances, exams, and auditions.
Curriculum Development:
- Design and update curriculum to keep lessons engaging and relevant, incorporating music theory, sight-reading, and improvisation into lessons.
Performance and Events:
- Organize and lead student performances and recitals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching guitar to students of various ages and skill levels.
- Proficiency in both lead and acoustic guitar.
- Ability to read and teach both conventional Music Notation and Guitar Tabs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, dedication, and a passion for teaching music.
