Job Description



  • We are seeking talented and experienced Solicitors Associates to join our legal team in Lagos.

  • This role requires a detail-oriented, highly skilled professional with a passion for corporate law and strong experience advising clients on complex legal matters.

  • The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience working in a leading corporate law firm and will contribute to a wide range of high-profile transactions and advisory mandates.


Key Responsibilities



  • Advise clients on corporate and commercial legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and contract negotiation.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including agreements, memoranda, and legal opinions.

  • Manage and oversee corporate transactions, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to legal requirements.

  • Represent clients in negotiations and liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders as needed.

  • Conduct legal research and stay abreast of changes in legislation, case law, and industry trends that could impact clients.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior associates and contribute to the firm's knowledge development.


Key Qualifications



  • LL.B from a recognized university and BL from the Nigerian Law School; additional qualifications or certifications are an advantage.

  • 4-7 years of relevant legal experience in top-tier corporate law firms.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law, with experience in handling mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other complex transactions.

  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • A high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
