Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic tests on generators to identify and address potential issues promptly, and inspections to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in generators promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous power supply.
Troubleshooting: Analyze generator problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to prevent recurring issues.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to electrical safety protocols and regulations. Conduct safety assessments and implement measures to prevent electrical hazards. Safely handle and dispose of waste materials, chemicals, and hazardous substances following established protocols and regulations.
Housekeeping and GMP: Adhere to strict housekeeping standards and GMP guidelines to maintain a clean and organized work area.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and external vendors for specialized repairs and equipment upgrades to assess complex technical problems and develop effective repair strategies.
Training: Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and assist in their training and development.
Key Requirement
Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Generator Technician, demonstrating expertise in generator installation, maintenance, and repair.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, engines, alternators, and control systems in generators.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and inventory.
Knowledge of safety protocols, housekeeping standards, GMP guidelines, and SOP.
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report operational status effectively.
