Job Summary:
We're seeking an Experienced Hotel Accountant with a minimum of 6 years of experience in hotel accounting to manage our financial activities, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to our continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and hotel policies
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to minimize risk
- Analyze financial data to optimize revenue and minimize expenses
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions
- Supervise and train accounting team members
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing and reporting
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Hotel Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Professional certification is a plus (ACA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting software and systems
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Integrity, transparency, and attention to detail
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with hospitality industry-specific accounting software
- Familiarity with Nigerian tax laws and regulations
- Previous experience in a similar role in Abuja
