The Financial Controller will be responsible for maintaining proper Financial Management and Controls in safeguarding Financial and Material Resources of the organization in furtherance of its mission.
The position will also be responsible for Fundraising.
Prepare financial statements in compliance with the Financial Regulations and Financial Reporting Standards.
Coordinate annual external audit of financial statements.
Ensure monthly reports for all programs are properly done and submitted on a timely basis.
Oversee preparation of budgets
Monitor implementation of program budgets.
Prepare and manage cash flows and develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs
Report monthly to the CEO on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances.
Requirements
Minimum of B.Sc /HND in Accounting or related field from a reputable institution.
Minimum of 5 years of work experience as an accountant, cost or financial controller in a manufacturing setting
Professional certifications such as ICAN/ACCA will be an added advantage.

Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting is required.
Experience in Cash Management, Risk Management, Auditing and Taxation
Prior work experience in financial strategy and executing financial strategic initiatives.
Good understanding of GAAP and IFRS
Knowledge of Accounts/Finance processes and procedures
Good knowledge of corporate finance and budgeting
Proficiency in the use of accounting software such as ERP, SAGE, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel is required.
