  • The Technical Lead – Sales is responsible for providing technical expertise to the sales team and clients, ensuring that product solutions meet customer needs and industry standards.

  • This role involves working closely with both the sales and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions, conducting product demonstrations, handling customer queries, and supporting the sales process from a technical perspective.

  • The Technical Lead – Sales also plays a key role in pre-sales and post-sales support, bridging the gap between customer requirements and product capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales Support:



  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide technical solutions that align with business goals.

  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations, explaining the technical aspects and benefits to potential customers.

  • Assist in the development of technical proposals and provide input for sales strategies.


Customer Interaction:



  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, addressing their queries and concerns related to product functionality, performance, and integration.

  • Work with customers to understand their requirements and recommend suitable product configurations.

  • Assist in building strong customer relationships by providing accurate technical support and advice during the sales process.


Pre-Sales Engineering:



  • Conduct technical assessments to identify customer needs and define the scope of projects.

  • Work with internal teams to design and develop custom solutions that meet specific client needs.

  • Prepare technical specifications and pricing proposals in collaboration with the sales and engineering teams.


Post-Sales Support:



  • Ensure seamless product implementation and provide technical guidance during the onboarding process.

  • Collaborate with the customer service and technical support teams to resolve any issues that may arise after the sale.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure long-term technical success.


Product Knowledge and Development:



  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of company products and services, staying updated on new developments and features.

  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer input and market trends to improve product offerings.

  • Train and educate the sales team on the technical aspects of the products.


Market and Industry Analysis: 



  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to anticipate customer needs and recommend innovative solutions.

  • Provide insights into competitive products and market conditions to help shape the sales strategy


Job Requirements

Education:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.


Experience:



  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a technical sales role, sales engineering, or a related position.

  • Proven track record of supporting sales teams with technical expertise in a B2B environment.


Skills and Competencies:



  • Strong technical knowledge in the relevant industry (e.g., software, IT, construction, manufacturing, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.

  • Experience with CRM systems and sales processes.

  • Project management skills to oversee the implementation of technical solutions.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer support.


Other Requirements:



  • Availability to travel for client meetings, demonstrations, and industry events as required.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
