Job Summary



  • The Systems and Network Administrator will be responsible for managing the IT systems and network infrastructure of a group of companies, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency.

  • This role is vital in supporting our clinical and administrative teams, facilitating seamless communication, data management, and overall IT performance.

  • Additionally, She/he will work closely with developers to conceptualize ideas, develop software solutions, and oversee application testing.


Key Responsibilities



  • Set up, configure, and maintain servers to support clinical applications and services.

  • Manage AWS cloud resources, including EC2, VPC, S3, and other relevant services.

  • Handle domain registration, DNS management, and SSL certificate configurations.

  • Ensure proper routing and accessibility of all hosted websites.

  • Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime.

  • Design and implement network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • Oversee the installation and management of network cabling (Ethernet, fibre optics, etc.).

  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network efficiency.

  • Serve as the primary contact for IT support, assisting staff across our various facilities with technical issues and providing training on new systems and applications.

  • Develop user guides and documentation to facilitate easy use of IT resources.

  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive client/patient and hospital/company data from unauthorized access.

  • Regularly conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Establish and maintain data backup procedures to ensure patient records and hospital and company data are securely backed up and easily recoverable.

  • Develop disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures.

  • Regularly update software applications and operating systems to maintain security and functionality.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, network configurations, cloud architecture, application testing processes and operational procedures.

  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software.

  • Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of new IT projects and initiatives as our companies expands.

  • Help evaluate and recommend new technologies that could enhance company operations.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls and cPanel environments.

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of server and network hardware and software.

  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
