Job Description

Onne, Nigeria

• West Africa Container Terminal, The Onne Port Complex, Federal Ocean Terminal Onne, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

• Data centre experience of racking and stacking of Cisco hardware.


• Cabling and labelling of Fiber and network CAT cables.


• Cable tidy experience


• 6+ years of experience as a VMware Administration


• Experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of components in a large VMware environment centered around best practices, to include vCenter, VMware Update Manager, vCenter Operations Manager, vCenter Orchestrator, Virtual Distributed Switch, vCenter Site Recovery Manager.


• Experience in working on the migration planning and performing on-prem hardware refresh activities.


• Experience in VM template design and leveraging vCenter Operations Manager to right size, virtual servers.


• Experience in upgrading ESXi hosts and VM guests using VMware Update Manager.


• 5+ years of experience in Cisco UCS and Hyperflex Administration.


• Experience installing/provisioning all UCS domain components, including fabric interconnects, chassis, blades, service profiles, pools, policies, templates, and firmware.


• Understanding of AD, and Commvault


• Experience with server consolidation/virtualization for HW reduction and vMotion migrations.


• 4+ years of experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration, RAID configuration & OS hardening, to include Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 operating systems.


• Knowledge of basic storage concepts in relation to OS & VMware: SAN, NAS, SCSI, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, Storage Groups, volumes etc.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

• Racking of Cisco devices (Hyperflex, Fabric interconnects, HX nodes and Commvaultdevices)


• Cabling the hardware’s


• Labelling the cables


• Cable tidy


• ILO configuration of the Cisco switches


• Firmware upgrade of the Cisco devices


• Provision remote support to remote team


• Troubleshooting of deployment issues and creation of KB’s.


• Coordinate with various teams for operational effectiveness


• Required to work in 24*7 support model
