Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and site inspections.


• Design infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, dams, buildings, and water supply systems.


• Use computer-aided software to create and design blueprints and models.


• Ensure designs meet technical specifications, regulations, and environmental standards.


• Oversee the construction process to ensure it adheres to design specifications, timelines, and budgets.


• Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and stakeholders.


• Inspect materials, equipment, and workmanship for quality assurance.


• Ensure safety protocols are followed on the construction site.


• Prepare project cost estimates and manage budgets.


• Monitor progress and adjust plans when necessary to ensure deadlines are met.


• Analyze data to identify potential risks, environmental impact, and engineering challenges.


• Plan and oversee the repair or upgrading of deteriorating structures.


• Manage and implement preventative maintenance programs.


• Keep records of project progress, including changes, budgets, and technical documentation.

• Ensure workers under your supervision are aware of all known hazards


• Ensure workers under yoursupervision have the appropriate personal protective equipment, which is being used properly, regularly inspected, and maintained
