Description 

• The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of molds and related equipment within the Toolroom.


• This role involves a combination of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities to maintain the efficiency and productivity of the molding process.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain molds and equipment to prevent contamination and ensure proper functioning.


• Perform regular inspections on mold components to identify potential issues or damage.


• Repair any damages to molds or machinery using appropriate tools and techniques.


• Operate Lathe, milling, grinding, and drilling machines to fabricate or modify mold components.


• Demonstrate proficiency in using these machines to achieve precise and accurate results.


• Change hot runner parts, including nozzle heaters, manifold heaters, nozzle tips, and thermocouples, efficiently and safely.


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hot runner performance.


• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with molds and equipment to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.


• Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex issues and minimize downtime.


• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.


• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• BSc / HND in relevant discipline


• 5-10 years proven working experience
