Roles & Responsibilities

• Automation Framework Development: Design and implement robust automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.


• Test Script Development: Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using [specific tools/technologies, e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG].


• Test Planning: Collaborate with QA leads and developers to define test strategies, create test plans, and establish testing timelines.


• Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing and analysis to ensure applications meet performance requirements.


• Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD): Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure timely feedback on software quality.


• Defect Tracking: Identify, report, and track defects in bug tracking tools; work closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolutions.


• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers and team members in automation best practices.


• Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test cases, scripts, and results.


• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.


• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.


• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.


• Strong understanding of automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.


• Experience with testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and quality assurance best practices.


• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes):

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).


• Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).


• Experience with API testing and test automation.


• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
