Responsibilities



  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on silo machinery, ensuring optimal functionality. Troubleshoot issues and conduct necessary repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all silo equipment. Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues before they escalate.

  • Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to prevent disruptions in the silo operations. Be available for on-call duty as needed.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.

  • Corrective Maintenance: Conduct scheduled corrective maintenance tasks on equipment failures and extend the lifespan of machinery.

  • Housekeeping and GMP: Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the silo department. Adhere to strict housekeeping standards and enforce GMP principles.

  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements. Prepare reports on equipment status and maintenance activities as required.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, protocols, and best practices. Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members, external vendors, and contractors for specialized repairs to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.


Qualifications/Knowledge



  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications or vocational training in maintenance-related fields is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a maintenance technician role, preferably in manufacturing.

  • Good knowledge of silo operations

  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience with welding and fabrication is an asset

  • Strong leadership skills, including motivating and mentoring team members, delegating tasks effectively, and resolving conflicts.

  • Keen attention to detail and ability to identify equipment issues accurately. Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols, a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, and problem-solving skills to identify issues, develop innovative solutions, and implement process improvements.
