Job Responsibilities
- Maintain account books and prepare financial statements and operating reports
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Petty cash management
- Stock taking and bank reconciliation
- Maintain and track daily, weekly and monthly inventory and expenses
- Ensure accuracy of inventory reports, lead physical inventory counts and diagnose the cause of inventory variance.
- Prepare and make bank deposits
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases
- Assist with internal audits
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk or Junior Officer
- A least OND in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Organization skills
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Ability to commute to job location is important
