Responsibilities
Revenue Management:
- Responsible for verification of daily sales and producing daily/weekly/monthly sales reports.
- Responsible for monitoring & reporting sales from the “Delivery Business” via Jumia Foods (etc).
- Responsible for ensuring all revenues are properly accounted for, and all income is received into the bank.
- Share monthly sales reports with CPA finance team
- Take responsibility for the output from Loyverse or any other POS system which may be deployed.
Bookkeeping and Back Office Function:
- Collaborate with various team leads with seamless flow of information and actions to always ensure high quality of service delivery.
- Responsible for coordinating purchases, repairs, and other expense requests made by the Clubhouse Manager and presenting them for director approval
- Liaise with vendors, collect invoices, receipt, and ensure proper and timely posting and filing.
- Record cash receipts/income from your daily cash reports and/or bank deposits.
- Record cash disbursements/expenses (Petty cash).
- Record any adjusting entries needed in records initially compiled and maintained.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Review and prepare payroll schedule and records.
- Post all transactions into QuickBooks Online.
- Prepare payroll/VAT/WHT tax returns.
- Ensure statutory payments are made timeously.
- Liaise and cooperate with auditors as required.
Storekeeping:
- Liaise with storekeeper and monitor daily, weekly and monthly stock takes with the purpose of guaranteeing the integrity of the stock held and balance sheet values.
Reporting:
- Prepare Monthly Management Reports (P&L, Balance sheet, Margin Analyses, etc)
- Generate any other reports as requested by any of the Managing Partners and directors.
Other deliverables:
- Ensure the collation, distribution and control of sensitive information and reports to authorised persons only.
- Provide feedback and critical observation to the Executive on daily issues and performance.
- To attend to all additional tasks or responsibilities as requested by management
Requirements
Specialist Skills and Knowledge:
- HND / B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Quick Books.
- Specific hospitality Knowledge.
- Excellent relationship management and communication.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills and time management skills.
- Strong written (numerical) and oral communication.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks, and priorities concurrently.
- Able to understand and identify key objectives across the business.
- Control – Acceptance of responsibility for safeguarding the business assets and profits, acting as the gatekeeper to monitor and deter fraud, theft and leakages.
- The accountant must be willing to be a whistleblower.
