Job Responsibilities:

• Research the latest fashion trends and keep an eye on competitors, identifying what our customers will love.


• Work closely with the design team to develop new ideas for clothing based on trend research.


• Help with planning and developing our clothing collections.


• Create patterns for our clothing, ensuring they are ready for production.


• Choose and test fabrics, colors, and patterns for each design.


• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and models.


• Communicate technical details for customer sample designs.


• Collaborate with the team to design clothing for upcoming seasons.


• Select fabrics and trims for each custom design.


• Prepare tech packs with clear specifications for each design.


• Create digital sketches with computer-aided designs (CAD) to present to stakeholders.


• Manage the prototype and sample creation process.


• Assist with creating mood boards for design inspiration.


• Develop cost sheets and product lists for each project.

Requirements

• A degree in a relevant field.


• Proven experience in the fashion industry.


• Assertiveness and thorough knowledge of the fashion industry.


• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.


• Experience working with couture lines is an added advantage.


• Comprehensive understanding of fashion terminology.
