Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, budgets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted account
procedures.
Develop and document business process and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Provide input into firm’s goal-setting process.
Analyse financial data related to legal cases, including cost estimates, budgeting and financial
projections.
Overseeing Financial operations within the firm, focusing on the management of budgets, financial reporting, and financial strategy, including optimizing revenue, controlling costs, and planning for financial growth.
Generating and processing invoices for legal services provided to clients. This includes ensuring accurate and timely billing, adhering to billing guidelines, and tracking billable hours and expenses.
Working with legal teams to develop and manage budgets for individual cases or the entire legal department, tracking and controlling expenses to ensure that the legal services provided remain within the budget.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree/HND in Accounting or in the Social Sciences and ACA certification.
