Role Description
- As a Sales Representative at 8thGear Hub & Venture Studio, you will play a pivotal role in attending to walk-in customers at our DigiPlus Connect shop.
- This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong sales and business development background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for startups and innovation.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
- Resolve customer’s problems and proffer promptly.
- Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals to increase sales.
- Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and demonstrate how our offerings can meet these needs.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Reach out to customer leads through various channels (email, calling, face-to-face meetings).
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Coordinate sales efforts with team lead and other departments.
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, and track sales, and status reports.
- Send weekly sales report to the team lead, which will also include; a report on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Continuously improve through feedback and self-driven growth initiatives.
Competencies and Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in sales and business development, with at least 1 year of experience
- Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Knowledge of CRM software and sales tools.
