Job Description
Job Purpose
- The SEP operator will ensure smooth operation of the SEP plant as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and ensure maximum productivity and minimum solvent loss and high SBM recovery.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming flakes from preparatory.
- Monitor and control the flow of flakes into the SEP plant.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues affecting the extraction process.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure incoming flakes, SBM and Crude Soya Oil meet required standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, collaborating with maintenance teams when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of oil extraction activities, include quantities processed and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Provide detailed shift reports to ensure smooth transitions between operators.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring working environment.
- Must be able to synergize with other departments to achieve set goals.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Accountability for assigned works with attention to detail is a must.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of OND in Engineering (Electrical, Production, or industrial Engineering, or related field).
- Proven experience of 3-5 years as a Solvent Extraction operator or similar role in a soyabean processing plant.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good teaming skills.
- Good knowledge of solvent types
- Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.
- Creativity and an ability to think out of the box.
- Robust experience in troubleshooting, motor checks & repairs
- Should be knowledgeable on general maintenance mechanics.
- Should have basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to details to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Age Requirement: 23-35 years.
