Job Summary



  • The Operations Assistant will work closely with the Conference Director to support the planning, coordinating, and execution of the upcoming agriculture conference.

  • This role involves assisting in managing logistics, operations, and program development to ensure a smooth and successful event.


Key Responsibilities



  • Assist the Conference Director in coordinating all aspects of conference planning, including logistics, operations, and program management.

  • Support the development and implementation of the conference schedule, ensuring timely communication with speakers, panelists, and vendors.

  • Coordinate logistics, including venue setup, transportation, accommodation, catering, and audiovisual requirements.

  • Manage and track conference materials, including invitations, badges, and promotional items.

  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery and setup of all conference-related services.

  • Assist in managing the registration process, including tracking attendee information and ensuring accurate records.

  • Monitor and respond to inquiries related to the conference, providing excellent customer service to attendees and stakeholders.

  • Support on-site event management, including troubleshooting any issues that arise and ensuring smooth operations during the conference.

  • Assist in post-event evaluations, gathering feedback, and preparing reports on the conference’s success.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in event planning, logistics, or operations management is preferred.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management software.

  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
