Reporting Line: Managing Partner

Our Client is a first-tier Nigerian Law Firm for investment and financing transactions focused on the Technology, Infrastructure & Energy sectors. We mostly work for institutional investors, international lenders, private equity and venture capital investors (including angel investors & HNIs), government investment funds, and fund managers.

In this role, you will be handling various legal issues related to commercial activities, contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk management. You will work collaboratively across various departments, management teams, and external stakeholders to mitigate legal risks and facilitate business objectives.

Key Roles:

• Drafting, negotiation, and reviewing of commercial contracts.


• Writing client updates and briefs.


• Regulatory Engagement.


• Attending client meetings. 


• Issuance of legal opinions and thought leadership articles.


• Supervising younger lawyers.

Person Specification:

• A Master’s Degree is an added advantage but not mandatory.


• Excellent academic credentials at University & Law School.


• Company secretary experience is mandatory.


• Experience with reviewing commercial contracts is mandatory.


• Litigation experience is an added advantage but not mandatory.


• Excellent speaking, presentation, and writing skills.


• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and, the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.


• Can work independently or with little supervision.
