Job Summary

• The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain processes specific to the PET recycling industry.


• This role involves coordinating the sourcing, processing, and distribution of recycled materials, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with industry regulations.


• The Supply Chain Officer will work closely with various departments to enhance operational performance and support the company’s sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing and Procurement:

• Identify and establish relationships with suppliers of recyclable PET materials.


• Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement.


• Monitor market trends to identify new sourcing opportunities.

Inventory Management:

• Manage inventory levels of recycled materials and finished products.


• Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.


• Conduct regular inventory audits and analysis.

Logistics Coordination:

• Oversee transportation and distribution of materials and products.


• Collaborate with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.


• Optimize routing and scheduling for collection and delivery.

Processing Oversight:

• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth processing of recycled materials.


• Monitor production schedules and adjust supply chain plans as necessary.


• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.


• Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance to management.


• Develop KPIs to measure the effectiveness of supply chain operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to align supply chain activities with business goals.


• Collaborate with sustainability teams to promote eco-friendly practices throughout the supply chain.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.


• Conduct supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with standards.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and sustainability.


• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in supply chain management and recycling.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Environmental Science, or a related field.


• Experience: At least 5 years of previous experience in supply chain management, preferably within the recycling or manufacturing sectors.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.


• Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulations in recycling.
